And I know you will be able to help or even help be observe but, I have a haunting feeling that in the clips we have of Mork reading to Day, is in the future and….Mork isn’t actually there anymore . … many reasons with the scenes set up but the main things for me is the fish. There is only one in the rank now in that scene. And the book marks in the book. 1 fish bookmark, the other an avocado? And their legs are covered with a blanket. So no 2 slippers of fish is shown……am I creating narrative things that are not there or seeing things wrong? it just feels almost a melancholy scene set up in front of the tank…… and I’m scared!!

On Spanish TikTok, or as I like to call it Tea Talk, someone stated they saw the book's ending, and it ended with Mork dying and donating his eyes to Day.

The people of Tea Talk ripped that video to shreds. The comments section was not pleased with the mentiras (lies), and Indonesian TikTok even showed up in the fray with the actual book to prove the original poster was "Livin' La Vida Loca."

I don't know how this cookie will crumble, but let me remind you of two things:

#1 - This is GMMTV.

It gave us The Shipper in 2020 at the height of the pandemic, and I think it has been correcting that wrong since.

And it gave us Only Friends in 2023.

I wanted murder and mayhem. Instead it gave everyone happy endings except the slut because apparently he had too many "happy endings" and *morality* or some bullshit.

If you are watching Playboyy, it's what Only Friends could have been if Disney BL hadn't produced it.

I might sound salty (because I am), but I'm really just trying to emphasize that GMMTV wouldn't. Period. Full stop. GMMTV wouldn't give us a sad ending to a branded pair. It will kill a mom quick, but sad times for a branded pair? ¡Nunca! For example, how did we all know Palm x Nueng were gonna be safe and sound in Never Let Me Go? Our Skyy 2. Can't have Our Skyy 3 if it kills a ship now can it?

#2 - This is Aof

The director, producer, and screenwriter extraordinaire shot Pat (Ohm) on Christmas Eve.

He killed Papang!

Hell, he killed Singto before the series even started!

Mork (NOT GAWIN, NO!) got beat up and was hospitalized!

And yet, we got a happy ending each time.

The man wants to make use cry, but he has never ended with queer trauma to do so.

Which is why there are still two fish in that tank.

And I think the avocado is a shout out to Jimmy's love of them (because who doesn't love avocados, am I right?).

So as much as I do not think the reading scenes we keep getting are set in the present,

I don't think they are setting us up for a sad future, especially because Korea already did this trick.

If you watched To My Star 2: Our Untold Stories last year, you know that shit hurt, every, single, episode,

and because it hurt, we were too blinded by the pain to notice the happiness sprinkled throughout.

The happiness we were seeing wasn't flashbacks of their past relationship or even snippets of their current one.

THEY WERE GLIMPSES OF THEIR HAPPY FUTURE!

Korea gave us The Eighth Sense and Strongberry's Choco Milk Shake, both which had the perfect premises to fuck us over, and yet my only complaint was NO POLY!

If Korea can delivery happy endings, Disney BL can too (but not the kind it punished Boston for. Never those kind). It isn't Taiwan, and it certainly isn't Japan who is ALWAYS itching to give maximum pain. This is "soft power" Thailand, GMMTV, Aof, and a branded pair. If GMMTV brought out Gawin to get Krist and Joss back to kiss a homie, I greatly doubt it would tank the JimmySea ship for a sad ending (did you get the pun?). If there is one thing I can count on GMMTV for, it's to secure the bag. Sell merch. Sell novels. Sell a special box edition of the series. Sell the ship. That won't happen if this is sad.

Top 5 kisses of the year!

Oh friend, you know what I am ABOUT! I have so many opinions on kisses, I even have a spreadsheet with a detailed assessment rubric. If I'd kept up with that sheet even a little bit this year, I wouldn't have had to scrabble through my recollections to answer... but the scrabbling was fun, and also gave me an excuse to rewatch some choice scenes.

Before I answer (you knew this wasn't going to be short), some general thoughts on what makes a really great drama kiss. Physicality is important: the lips, the hands, the eye contact, the way both bodies express desire and the pull to be closer. But a really great kiss is also full of emotional context and narrative meaning. It's as much an expression of character as any other actions or words. It shows who these people are to each other in this moment, and it lets us see the individuality of their desires and feelings.

The really great kiss scenes usually also come after a buildup of tension, releasing like a musical chord resolving. A kiss that I have been dying to see will hit so much harder than an equally sensual kiss with an established couple that does it all the time, or with a pair I've just seen meet. That's not a knock against established couple kisses or lust-at-first-sight kisses: I enjoy both, a lot. But the kisses that really make an impression, that make my chest ache and leave me thinking about them for days, tend to be Big Moments.

So here you go, my top 5 BL kisses of 2023.

Step by Step car makeout

Step by Step might have been a letdown, but Pat and Jeng's chemistry never faltered. This car makeout, after having to spend a day in the office trying to keep up a professional front, holds some of the most raw, frenzied desire we've gotten this year. The way they look at each other, the way they grab for each other, it's blazingly good. And the thing that makes this a standout scene for me: in their groping and grappling, they hit the car horn, stop and laugh about it, and then keep kissing. One of my kissing scene peeves is when any small interruption brings the scene to an end, as if a spell has been broken and they've been reverted to normal not-kissing people. I punched the air when Pat and Jeng stopped for a minute and then got right back into it, like two people who really want to be kissing each other should do.

I Cannot Reach You infirmary kiss

Now we go to the opposite end of the sensuality spectrum. This kiss was short and gentle in comparison to every other kiss on this list, but the narrative impact is profound. I Cannot Reach You is only the second BL I've seen to put direct focus on the physical intimacy side of a friends-to-lovers story, where sexual desire appears as an unsettling element in the friendship that both parties need to wrestle with in their own way. This kiss shows the resolution of that struggle, the mutual acceptance and mutual desire. Yamato is not holding himself back any more and Kakeru is fully accepting and reflecting his desire. And while it's not the most involved kiss, the sensuality is absolutely there: the softness of the lips, the cradling of Kakeru's face, the hands! Gorgeous.

Aof Noppharnach knows how to build a goddamn moment. Not for nothing is he the architect of the top-rated kiss on my spreadsheet (yes, it's the one you think.) This is the perfect example of a kiss as character and story work, a kiss that has a distinct narrative role, a kiss that's physically distinctive and suited to the moment the characters are in. Day has just been kissed out of pity and is despairing that that's the only feeling he can evoke in others; Mok has spent weeks realizing how much he wants Day even as he watches Day move away from him and toward someone else. Mok needed to kiss Day aggressively in this moment, and Day needed to feel that desire aimed at him, and we the audience needed a release from the agonies we'd been feeling for both of them all episode long.

Whew... what is there even to say? The buildup to this one was extraordinary, the romance of it unparalleled. Gorgeous, gorgeous scene. Also this is a good place to mention that kissing in the rain is good. Kissing in the rain is always very good. I've been known to give bonus points for other environmental elements too, but rain will always score big.

This list hasn't been ranked thus far - all four of these kisses are wonderful in such different ways, and I didn't want to take the time to actually fill out my rubric to get a numerical score for each of them (maybe I will after I post.) But the last is unquestionably #1 for me: it's the one I knew right away was going on the list, the best kiss scene of 2023 and one of the best of all time.

In all my talk about narrative weight and character, let it not be thought that I don't care about the physicality and the sensuality. Boy do I, and boy did this scene deliver! These boys want each other intensely, and every element of the scene made me feel that right down to my toes. It's the way they touch each other, the way they look at each other, the way their mouths move. There's an editing choice that I adore, perfectly conveying the escalation from first exploratory kisses to heated passion. And then the way they stop, because Patts recognizes that Tai would regret going further in this moment, as fired-up as he is right now. This kiss scene says so much about who they both are and how they feel about each other, and it does it while delivering a fire I still feel after [mumblemumble] rewatches.

my first ever ship i read fanfics for was dominic x brian from fast & furious. otherwise, my first ever ship came from anime as i was consuming that before i ever touched any bl dramas.

my true first ship would so be soubi and ritsuka from the 2005 anime adaptation of the manga loveless. a bit questionable choice i admit, but i still collect the manga bc i find the story fascinating and delightfully painful. also, i love the concept of named pairs (soulmatism with a knife) and their ability to fight against each other

my first ever (thai) bl ship would probably be korn and knock from together with me. there was just something about them back then that made me feel slightly deranged. (with bonus yihwa bc i still think she's one of the best female characters in a bl)

About that Last Twilight ending...

So, I’m just gonna say it straight that probably doesn’t resound with the rest of you viewers here.

I don’t hate it.

BUT

I don’t like it either.

I won’t delve into the whole ableism/ableist issue as for one, I’m not a disabled person, specifically not a blind person. It is not my place to give an opinion on this as I can’t and won’t ever understand what it’s like to be blind. And there’s quite a few posts already that have commented on this issue quite strongly so that’s that.

I just wanna write down my thoughts as a BL drama lover, Thai Drama enthusiasts, and as JimmySea fan. Also, my POV as someone who is there at the Fan Meeting in Siam Pavalai. It’s been a week, and I was busy since and only had the time now to gather my thoughts and feelings towards the finale.

The Sudden Break-Up and Blocking. I’m not sure why the writers decided to made Day to be a brat who can’t have a proper discussion on Mhok’s decision to stay. Because we see in episode 11 that Day is actually happy and supportive and encouraging Mhok to go to Hawaii if he’s selected. The least the writer could do is make them talk (or argue) it out instead, breaking up is okay if they still disagree, but blocking Mhok for 3 years? A bit excessive don’t you think?

The Non-Existent Discussion About Mhok’s Trauma. This is like the elephant in the room that never got addressed or shown at all except the nightmare in episode 11 and occasional name dropping of Rung. We get it that Day can’t see that Mhok is having a nightmare, nor did he can read Mhok’s expression if he’s upset or sad about anything but throughout their friendship they didn’t talk at all about Rung and Mhok’s family in depth? They didn’t make Day asked what happened with Mhok’s sister? Like if the writers gonna make this as the reason Mhok is staying why didn’t this issue ever brought up before? This makes the break up uncalled for since Day didn’t know the real reason Mhok is staying and rejecting the job offer.

Day’s Not Giving Back – I know a lot of people is saying how Mhok keeps on giving and Day not giving back or did anything at all for Mhok, but I think Day’s contributions is Mhok’s improvements in himself i.e. giving up smoking, learning to cook better, learning to be a proper caretaker instead of just being someone who brought Day’s food. It wasn’t physical or significant but it’s there, no matter how small.

Mhok Excessive Flirting – I don’t mind (in fact I quite enjoy it) the flirting and sweetness and cutesy antics but after the blocking for 3 years Mhok can just comeback and flirt shamelessly and acting like nothing happen………… I know this is probably just to make a happy scene for us since we cried a lot over the previous episodes but come on now, as realistic as their flirting is no one in real world would immediately flirt after not seeing each other for 3 years.

Mhok Admitting He Did Pity Day (W.T.F??) – Out of all the fuck-ups in episode 12 this is the fuck ups I’m most angry with. The rest of the flaws in the episode is forgivable but this is like the Lord of the Fuck-Ups. We have seen from the first episode that Mhok is rather curious than pity, and we know the decision to decline the job offer stems from Mhok unaddressed trauma over his sister’s death. He rather be with Day instead of being away, worrying, wondering, and feeding on his paranoia (definitely NOT pitying) so when Mhok apologize and admitting that he did pity Day I almost threw my phone to P’Aof across the cinema hall.

The Sudden Eye Donation – I know a lot of people quite preferred that Day remained blind, after all the entire series centers around Day accepting his blindness, and to show that blind people can lead a normal life. The only thing I’m disagreeing over is how soon Day got the eye donation. I don’t think in any part of the world organ donation is easy to come by, let alone twice in the span of 3 years, no matter how rich his family is (Mhon isn’t exactly a politician that gets away with everything). In my head the ending would be Mhok and Day living life like normal couple, having a meal with Night, Porjai and Mhon, and the scene cut to shows Mhon’s phone ring at the back, showing Eye Donation Center calling and series ended there with P’Aof name appearing (you know like Inception ending where we didn’t know whether Dom’s coming back to his kids is real or not). The decision to make Day received the eye donation as soon as they make up seems lazy and unnecessarily convenient to me.

Day’s Heart Shattered into Pieces Comments – I saw someone said on twitter (I couldn’t find the link sorry) “did Day have amnesia or something” and did he forget he said “this is good” when he goes completely blind for the first time on the mountain and compare it to the last epilogue where Day said his heart is shattered into pieces when he goes blind. I think what was meant here is one can accept one’s fate, but still be heartbroken with it. I like to think this is like how we deal with death of loved ones, we accept that’s it’s God’s will but we are still heartbroken over it. Day did accept his blindness; doesn’t mean he can’t be heartbroken.

Scriptwriter Having a Blind Friend to Comment– There’s the series scriptwriter on twitter, where they said they have a blind friend and when they wrote the script, the scenes and the characters feelings is in consultation with the said blind friend. So, when the finale is written they did have an argument among themselves on how to go about, whether Day stays blind or gets an eye donation. I saw a lot of hate being directed to P’Aof, I just hope people know he’s not the only screenwriter on this series. And I know I said earlier on I don’t mind that Day got his sight back but I can’t help but feels like the whole point of one palm distance and “the last image that I see” is… pointless. The songs still slaps btw.

Did Jimmy Sea Have Any Say About Their Character At All? As someone who’s portraying the characters, did a very good job with it and seem to understand and empathize a lot with their characters' situation, I wonder if they have any say on Mhok’s character admitting he’s at fault or whether Day should be more considerate of Mhok’s situation. Because we never see Day equally apologizing for not giving Mhok the chance to explain himself. And it’s quite out of character for Mhok to admit that he did pity Day. What I see from Hollywood is that actors have “creative differences” with the scriptwriter all the time in regard to the character they’re portraying so that probably doesn’t apply to Thai entertainment.

People Wishing Death To Fans Attending – guys, come on. It’s a spur of the moment thing, we cheered because we were shocked, happy, annoyed (??). All in all, I have fun throughout the whole fan meeting, the excitement to meet JimmySea, the anxiousness in how it gonna end, the eye to eye contact with JimmySea during the group photo. They’re real people guys, so beautiful up-close. Namtan is ETHEREAL, such a Goddess.

One thing I’m glad that in this fandom, even after the critics, fans bashing and semi-disastrous finale, I see no one is blaming Jimmy and Sea. If anything, they truly deserve the praises, the love and the accolades that they have received so far from their outstanding portrayal as Mhok and Day.

For those who’s just starting to binge-watching the series, please do continue and don’t be discouraged seeing all these negative reviews and comments. Please enjoy JimmySea’s visual and acting (coz I love them so much they deserve the world even when the series ending is not what everyone’s expected and I’m crying as I’m typing this while begging you to not hate them), just that don’t get your hopes up, keep your expectations low and prepare to be let down at the end.

My Top 10 BLs Of 2022

Alrighty this was very hard to choose cause I think, for me at least, this has been probably the best year of BL I've ever had, this year were some of the best shows ever just a lot of hit after hit after hit. Unfortunately there were some shows that I had to leave out cause I was trying to keep it a strict 10:5 ratio cause even numbers but I do feel very very very good about this list regardless, it's not in a particular order cause I can't rank them for there will be tears and it doesn't include anything that I'm currently watching, only shows that ENDED in 2022

SIDENOTE: Bad Buddy is not on my list, yes I finished in 2022 but I put it on my 2021 list cause my BL watching was VERY lacking in 2021 so I started pulling from my currently watching but I refused to do that this year cause y'all know if I was between us would be on here

10. Not Me

Not me has such a strong political statement to the point of when I was watching, every couple of episodes I would go “how did they get away with this” given that it was such a current situation and they did that while also giving me family drama, amazing romances, found family and fucking so well that it wakes your twin brother out of a coma and that’s what I call a perfectly balanced series

9. The Eclipse

The eclipse has such a AMAZING message with a side of mystery, every episode was just so exciting to watch, and like before the eclipse I knew First was a really good actor from watching Not me and I thought Khaotung was great in 2gether like he was such a stand out side character but the Eclipse was NEXT LEVEL for the both of them like I knew they were really good but them in the eclipse were out of this world, as a unit they work SOOO well together but especially by themselves they are just unbelievable, and I just love a twist so when we officially found out Dika and Chaddok has been in a relationship it was just so justifying cause I knew it and we got see them fall in love, just the scene of chaddok seeing dika for the first time it was such a visually obvious “oh I just fell in love” love at first sight and I loved that

8. Vice Versa

Ok I know that this isnt everyones cup of tea but this show was EVERYTHING for me, I don't usually do magic/ supernatural/ fantasy BLs but I've been really working on that this year and saying yes to more BLs I wouldn't usually do. when I first caught wind of this show I wasn't really sure but I fell in love with Jimmy on Bad Buddy so when it was announced he was going to be staring in his own show I wanted to follow him regardless. I wasn't sure of the plot until literally the day before it came out and I thought "this might be interesting" plus Jimmy so I was down, at that point i wasn't super into sea, I had seen him in a couple of shows previously and liked him fine so I was like cool and when he was paired with Jimmy I wasn't immediately sold but when vice versa started Im pretty sure I was sold right away I really think JimmySea is what made it for me and I am unbelievably excited for their new show, I honestly think give me any plot you want with JimmySea and I will go gunhoe for it I don't care if it's bad I will be there popcorn in hand never shitting on it even a little bit

7. KinnPorsche

I remember when this was first announced and you know it kept getting pushed back and postponed for the longest time and usually with shows that go through this even a little bit you’re expectations goes down with each postponement and usually you’re right to do so cause sometimes when it finally premieres it’s not as good as you thought it was going to be so you blame the delays (I’m sure there are other reasons for it short comings but when it happens my first thought is to blame the delays) but every once while that doesn’t matter and show is even better than you thought it was going to be (see Bad Buddy, and Between Us as other examples) and that is Kinnporsche it just blew my expectations out the water I get it’s not for everyone but for me truly I loved it, I just love shows where there is just so much happening and there is just so many different storylines through out the whole series I really hope they do a second season cause there are just too many loose ends plus it’s gotta be my favorite cast I’ve never been caught up with a whole cast and for so long past it’s time of actively being on the way I am with the KP cast

6. Cherry Blossom After Winter

I love this one cause I feel like a lot of Korean BLs are very one thing is happening and the main plot is just these two people are falling in love and that's all that is happening which is great and I love that and I fully understand why most KBLs are like that with their limited time compared to other country BLs but at the time I believe this was like the first KBL I watched that had more of plot then just two people fall in love, which again is amazing and I love watching BLs like that but at the time this was very refreshing compared to the previous KBLs I had watched at the time

5. My Only 12%

I was not expecting to like this, I went back and forth on this a bunch on weather I was going to watch it, I hate high school set bls more specifically I hate them when you're constantly being reminded that it set in high school or that them being in high school is so apart of the plot and that is a lot of high school set BLs so I was wary for that reason plus I didn't really like SantaEarth as a pairing for like no reason at all I just didn't vibe with them but what had happened was a bunch of TikToks of them kept popping up in my fyp and gradually I started to love them so before it had premiered I decided to give it shot, I have this thing where sometimes I just straight don't understand some synopsis even if I read 20 times over so I had to read this a couple weeks later then I was ohhhhh and I thought it sounded so interesting and different. it gave me MAJOR itsay AND iptym vibes and I was hear for it they were in high school but it wasn't a main main focus per say and it has amazing pacing, the fact they were able to spend enough time in high school for you to really be in and understand the friendship that Santa and earth had and have them go college and have it feel natural is amazing honestly every plot point just felt very well paced and perfectly just, the only con for me was I hated it when everyone was rushing Eiw to forgive his father and stop being mad with him, it was one of the days of his moms funeral and they kept nagging him about it like let him be in his feelings for a minute, so only that was peeing me off

4. To My Star 2: Our Untold Stories

I really enjoyed how this was done with them showing us what lead to Ji Woo leaving Seo Joon and their present plus after they got back together but in a bit of a funky order I just love the reveal at the end, all these sweet moments that they were showing us through out the series that you thought were the yesteryears of them and they made you so sad the first time around then when you find out it’s after the fact you like oh my god, I just loved the journey of it all just seeing Ji Woo try to deny seo Joon and convince him that he didn’t still love him but ultimately realizing he couldnt do it and just the scenes of Seo Joon Just being like fine and finally giving up and giving Ji Woo his space and then Ji Woo shows up to finally try and they get back together in the most cute heartwarming scene ever

3. Love In The Air

Going into this I was not expecting to like this and I did not want to like this, the first episode was pretty on par with what I was expecting I didn't love it and I found myself getting very impatient and just wishing it was over but something happened inbetween episode 1 and 2 and I for some reason I got really excited about watching episode 2 and from that point on I was hooked, I enjoyed the kooky plot lines, I enjoyed the chemistry between the couples and I didn't think it was going to work and have a nice flow once I found out they were splitting the storylines in two but it worked actually so well so much so that there was some BL I was watching that I was like "I wish they'd split the storylines in two like lita did" I really just loved everything about it and obviously this includes the special episode cause Jesus Christ y'all

2. To Sir, With Love

The minute this was announced I was on board, which for me I hate a period piece but I LOVE a soap opera, my love of soap opera is greater than my hate of period pieces I was so excited for this cause I love the style of lakorns but I refuse to watch straight Thai shows and I forever wanted a gay lakorn to be made (to my knowledge idk of a another one but if you do lmk) on paper this shows has a bunch of stuffs I usually wouldn't go for with regular drama series but because this is a lakorn all the usually cons are pros, period piece? Yes thank you I'm here for it, insanely long episodes? (Which I do actually love when that happens) should have been longer, a lot of episodes? Again should have been longer, when I heard gay lakorn 22 episodes not a worry crossed my mind I was so excited to watch all 22 episodes so when they said that it was going down to 16 I was devastated but then it got bumped to 17 which isn't 22 but still good I loved everything about this show I never walked away from an episode disappointed or feeling even the slightest bit of meh, every episode was just wow, nothing about this show annoyed me at all even the things that shouldve I loved everything about this show so much but one thing I really want to highlight was the relationship between Tian and Yang the best brother relationship ever, it was so sweet and so loyal I was so scared in the beginning that Yangs mom was going to eventually get him to participate in this weird competition with Tian but no matter what she did Yang stayed committed to Tian while also not hating his mom, he didn't love the choices she made but at the end of the day that his mom, plus when he found out about Tian his immediate reaction was just concerned of the stress tian had been under for so long plus the pure giddy that poured out this man at the pure thought of getting to marry pin, I love the main couple of course and I'm so excited for Film and Jams new project and tian is a Angel baby who can do no wrong obviously but yang really stole my heart

1. Old Fashion Cupcake

This I believe was my favorite Japanese bl I watched this maybe even ever I love a story of older queer love and I love age gap so this really did it for me plus I love a show that is on the shorter side but does a really good job at pacing and timing nothing felt rushed or out of place I just love a show that is short but is so good that it makes you forget that is short, it was just so sweet and meaningful? That's not the right word but I can't think of the word I want, it gives the feeling of reading like I really good peom that you just really understand and really relate to you that just stays with forever

5. Ghost Host, Ghost House

I don't like supernatural BLs very much so I was a bit wary going in, cause I didn't know how the ghost situation was going to be, if Plum was going to be a ghost or Kevin idk, I didn't want a "fall in love with a ghost" storyline but when it was revealed that the family were ghost I was a bit more interested and I enjoyed the Lore of the ghost/ghost world so I stuck around but with one foot out the door, I started this show with the intention of dropping it, I never planned on finishing it I didn't even put it on Mdl or anything but honestly I kept watching it cause I kept forgetting that I was supposed to drop it and then ep 4 came out and changed the game after ep 4 it just got so good and so much better than it has been previously for some reason

4. Gameboys 2

The movie and the series are the same storyline but with some different added scenes in each one and the series being more stretch out storywise, obviously but I feel like the series gives more context extra detail and more happens in the show compared to the movie there are really deep scenes/storylines in the show that seemed more movie worthy but looking back I do realize why the movie was more simple compared to the show

3. Semantic error

This was the second kbl I watched that I liked and the first kbl of 2022 for me I loved it simple as that when I finished it I was for sure going to put this on my overall list but unfortunately for semantic error this was a really good year of BL and I just didn't have the space

2. Eternal Yesterday

Every week I watched this show I was just always sad it was just this overwhelming melancholy that took over my entire being from start to finish and loved it, every week was sad and you knew how it was going to end at the finale and that was ok it was like someone was wrapping me in blanket saying "it's gonna be painful but it's ok I got you", after the last episode it was like content sigh of relief

1. KabeKoji (AKA Kabe Sa Doujin Sakka no Neko Yashiki-kun wa Shouninyokkyuu wo Kojiraseteiru)

kabekoji is soooo good and if I just had enough space this would be on my top ten this was probably my second favorite jbl I watched this year truly a didn't expect this show to go in the directions it went but there were just other shows on my top 10 I wasn't willing to remove, this show had deeper messages than what I was expecting from a manga writer and idol love show and I love shows that get adapted from comics/ mangas that keep the style and it actually works still, kabekoji had the wacky manga tropes but in live action and I loved every second of it

Unforgotten night - The trashiest of trash watches. Has an early 2000s vibes to me for some reason. You need to disengage your brain but if you do, it's funny. 2/10

The untamed - Watching this after woh was a mistake. It was fine, it was pretty, I just didn't personally enjoy it while watching. You're still going to see tons of it on my blog because the fandom's great. 5/10 for wei wuxian's evil era.

until we meet again - The plot is so well paced, great side couple, and I love InKorn. Oh and the soundtrack during Pharm's breakdown slaps. Unforunately, i don't like deanpharm or pharm as a character which made this an excruciating watch at parts. 8/10 though for ep 17 and for because i loved the plot so much

Vice versa - it's the only bl i've followed along as it airs and is a good example to why i probably should never do that again. A week inbetween episodes is a lot of time to pick apart and analyze a show and man does vice versa have gaping plot holes to pick into. I'm a fantasy girl at heart so i adored the concept and it was going really well for the first couple eps and then it became clear that my expectations for this show were far above anything it wanted to deliver. Ugh. Ruined JimmySea for me. What's the point of giving them a cool concept if you're not going to do anything with it. 3/10, one each for Talay, Ohm, and Nanon.

We best love - Since i've been breaking up most of the other 2 part series, might as well do the same here. WBL delivers a simple concept with flawless execution, sizzling chemistry, and great acting. The ultimate proof that tropes aren't inherently bad. 10/10.

We best love: Fighting for Mr. Second- I love when a a trope is followed to its aftermath because it gets less predictable and is less often done so I actually like this one better than the first installment. Also, Sam Lin deserves an award for that couch scene if he hasn't gotten one. For this entire installment actually because acting is just that good. Like, could rival nanon for my favourite actor good- and if you know how partial i am to nanon you know how high a bar that is. 20/10 and I can't see it losing it's place as my second favourite bl anytime soon.

Where your eyes linger - For someone who doesn't like a 'rich kid/bodyguard trope', i watch too many of them. But the leads' dynamic in this show is so good and the tension between them is gorgeously built, gorgeously paced. The characters are also surprisingly fleshed out for how short the series is. Han Tae Joo might be one of my favourite bl characters ever. Like I want to rip him apart with my fingernails and watch him bleed, i want to crawl inside his head, i want to spin him around in vat of concrete, he's my character of all time, my scrunklo. There are a few nitpicks, like I would've preferred if there had been more time for the tension to build and explode before they got torn apart and the end was kinda mediocore but atleast there was a happy ending! 10/10.

Why R U? - This show is a personal attack against my face blindness. There were two many couples and i couldn't tell most of them apart so by ep 2/3 I ended up skipping everything that wasn't tutorfighter because it wasn't making sense to me when i can't tell the characters apart. Zee and Saint do have great chemistry though, enough to be compelling even when the plot and pacing gave up. 3/10

Wish you: your melody from my heart - Entirely run of the mill. Even considering the short runtime, there's no depth, the acting is mediocore, and the music isn't my style. 2/10

Word of honor-Listen, my attention span sucks and I still watched this show end to end twice, it's that good. There's found family, the lead pair is great and it's fun to analyze. 11/10.

You make me dance- I thought i'd like this based on the concept but I found it hella boring. 1/10

i can't pick which hyperfixation to focus on so imma pivot in the opposite direction and just comment on all the dramas i've watched in the last couple months, both queer and not

2gether- Tropewise this should've been a home run but sarawat and tine just didn't vibe with me as a couple. If i was ranking it, it'd be like a 4/10. Basic, boring, those peep marshmallows with no depth of flavour.

Still 2gether- No plot but they had better chemistry this time. 6/10

3 will be free- 9/10, delightfully queer, I liked the side plots, i liked the main plot, point off only because Shin getting insecure and running off got repetitive.

A man who defies the world of bl 1+2- It was funny, i loved the parody aspect of it, probably would've liked it more if i had more than a cursory familiarity with yaoi as a genre. Liked s1 better than s2. 7/10

About Youth- It was fine? I liked it well enough while watching but it didn't stick out. Nothing you haven't seen before, rich/poor, popular/outcast etc. It had more of a queer vibe to it but i wish it lingered more, like old fashioned cupcake or itsay does. The love interest's best friend though, I loved. 5/10 because it's more interesting than 2gether and the chemistry was pretty good.

Bad Buddy: someone said that starting with this show was a bad idea because it would set the standards too high and they were absolutely correct. This show might as well be perfectly catered to me, it's got great chemistry, is fun to analyze, it's queer, it introduced me to Nanon, what's not to love. 12354678/10. Incomparable.

Be loved in house: I do - Office enemies-to-lovers. Very cute. Basic's only a crime if i didn't enjoy it and I did so 6/10.

Blacklist- The expectations I had for this show. Prim, Love, Ohm, Nanon, Khaotung, basically all my favourite gmmtv actors were in it and it sucked ass. I could've dealt with the growing ridiculousness of the school plot if the romances weren't the flattest, most cliche shit known to mankind. As it is, I didn't finish the show nor will I ever. Also watching this after Gifted is a special kind of hell because Nanon's playing the same character except written worse. -3/10.

Blueming -nothing special, I liked how the lead's family dynamics were portrayed. Like most kbls, too short for my liking. 5/10.

F4 Boys over Flowers. Believe it or not, this is the first version of boys over flowers i've watched. It meandered at times but was overall entertaining. I like useless bickering in my romances and Tu is charming as Gorya. Bright was pretty good too, I liked him better here than I did in 2gether. Milk's characters should've been in love with Gorya instead of Thyme though and the fact that she wasn't when they had so much chemistry is a crime. 8/10.

Business Proposal - As seems to be the trend with het kdramas, the beginning and end are both boring af, but the middle portions were pretty good. Both the romances were cute and I liked the chemistry between all the leads well enough. Also, i love a good running gag and it was funny watching everyone misunderstand the ceo and bodyguard's relationship. 7/10 because it's the first kdrama i actually watched til the end which just made the last ep that much more dissatisfying.

im thinking about something like elite or the secret history by donna tartt where the story explores issues like classism, parental neglect, drug use, murder, etc. i don't have a clear plot in mind and we would probably need a bigger cast for this but first thing that came to my mind was. jimmy and namtan are exes but they remained friends (this is tradition at this point). after they broke up namtan got together with sea, even if jimmy and sea dislike each other. film is a new student at their college and her and jimmy hit it off right away, but then suddenly sea dumps namtan and gets with film. namtan and jimmy decide to try to break them up so that jimmy can have a chance with film and namtan can have some kind of revenge for getting dumped like that. to make their plan work, namtan befriends film and the four of them start spending more time together, but as they do so, namtan starts falling for film. BUT THEN!!!!!!!!!! one night while the four of them are out, their party get crashed by film's ex-boyfriend, who was abusive as hell and still can't accept that they broke up. turns out that sea had witnessed him arguing with film and slapping her and trying to drag her away, so he had intervened and since sea comes from a very powerful family, he and film decided to pretend to date as a deterrent to that guy. however, said guy is now shoving pictures of sea having sex with a man in their faces and trying to blackmail sea by saying he's going to send those pictures to sea's dad if he doesn't back off and let him take film away. in the altercation that follows, the group ends up killing him. the four of them now have to work together to cover his murder, all while namtan and film grow closer each day and jimmy is slowly coming to terms with the fact that 1) sea isn't as bad as he initially thought, and 2) jimmy might actually be in love with him

and this is like. so predictable and unoriginal and bad BUT I HAVE A VISION IS ANYBODY ELSE HAVING A VISION

hiii monica!!! hope your day is going great :)) i have so many thoughts and feelings about lt and mohkday, i thought it'd be better to tell you than make a post of my own (i feel like most of these things have been said already, but just so i can get em off my mind) hope it's not too much :D - just so much of how the plot being what drives their relationship forward than tropes. we got the 'sharing a bed' and for what! in the end, it dint act as a catalyst in any way. rather, it's the casual intimacy, of day feeling what mohk is wearing, remembering his scent and being able to recognize his touch that invokes the flutters. all of which are basically essential considering day has to rely on his other senses to be able to single out mohk from a crowd. and yet. it's how the touches start to linger, as they gain new meanings. as they begin testing the waters. all while mohk has the most smitten smile (that day doesn't see). - it's their little spontaneous outings, and mohk only selecting the most perfect spots, so day can make the best out of them with his other senses, where his deteriorating vision only feels like a mild inconvenience. a flower market (touch and scent), a bridge with a prominent railing (day can feel his way along), rooftop (you can probably feel the breeze in your face, and it's totally empty, perfect to clear your mind after a rough night). - mohk planting jasmine in HIS house, and bringing the book home to practice??? how do you even come up with the second one? day's reactions when he found out!!! lmao he never stood a chance. (also giggling, kicking his feet, twirling hair day is asdajkdhjf, every expression is. i am.) - the goldfish slippers. if day's at home, he's cozy in them and it's simply the most endearing thing (day is, who am i kidding) - anywhere day has to be and he's pondering out loud, basically about to wave it off with some or the other excuse, 'it's a hassle anyway', mohk will catch on immediately. 'what are you waiting for? i'm here to take you' something about that is just. i know you want to do this and i'm not going to let petty things hold you back - their story develops from their natural day to day interactions. but it's so immersive. seeing mundane gestures gaining magnitude as feelings come to light. someone needs to write a 50k fic is all i'm saying. - the intimacy thing? god where do i even begin. to the bed scene with them covering each other's ears, i saw someone comment 'hope day's walls are thicker' and i haven't been fine since. and if you remember, one of your tags, i guess around the ep 3 dressing room mark, you said something like 'they're gonna touch one naked shoulder and have to go lie in the grass to calm down' and i know the vibe bw those two statements are wildly different but i haven't been able to get it out of my mind. you hit the nail, because it's exactly what's going to happen. it's just SO them. and that's SO. that extent of treasuring one another, the adoration, the pure raw emotion behind finding people in life, that you want to keep forever. it's the finding someone who sees you differently from everyone else, who never takes you for granted, who is elated to be in your company every single time. who above all, makes you feel safe. - everything about them is so. for lack of better words, natural. like second nature. like falling into place. you're so right. they invented romance. and i think no one could've captured it better than jimmysea, cause no one does gentle, comforting, homely like them. but that's just me. -Skate

first of all, im both very honored and very grateful that you wanted to share your last twilight thoughts with me!!!!! i do also want to encourage you to post about them if you're comfortable with it because i think fandoms need as many voices that can bring their own uniqueness to it as possible (what you want to say has already been said? maybe, but no one else can tell it quite in the same way that you would), but if you don't feel like it that's perfectly fine and im more than happy to (hopefully) provide a safe space for you and your thoughts!!!!!!

AND SPEAKING OF YOUR THOUGHTS!!!!!!!! i absolutely agree with you about tropes in last twilight not being used to further mork and day’s relationship. we still have a few of them (the 'there was only one bed' like you said, the 'trip and fall into you', the 'wipe the corner of your mouth') but they blend into the narrative almost seamlessly: they're not the focus of a scene and the flaw of the story doesn't stagnate around them by lingering on how the characters react to the trope. rather, they're used to either give the audience a subtle clue about what those characters are feeling or give more weight to a scene. the simple fact that mork and day are gonna sleep in the same bed carries in itself a certain kind of tension because the viewers recognize the trope and with that recognition come a whole series of expectations which p’aof then proceeds to subvert. if it were any other show, we would have probably had mork offering to sleep on the floor only for day to say it was okay for mork to sleep in the bed as long as he kept his hands for himself, and still they would have somehow ended up cuddling. but the trope is only a set up. p’aof refuses to use it as a plot device and lets his characters build intimacy in a different and much more genuine way: it’s mork giving day the thinner blanket so he won’t be hot and day recognizing mork’s scent on it, it’s mork having a bowl of water and jasmine flowers at the ready to help day relax, it’s day offering mork one of the flowers to smell and getting flustered at the feeling of mork’s breath brushing his fingers…….. it’s just so refreshing to have, on one hand, tropes being used as the framework rather than as the subject of a scene, and on the other, intimacy naturally developing from day to day interactions (again, like you said) without having to rely on said tropes

last twilight is also the proof that you don’t need an intricate plot to make a show interesting: even the most mundane acts like eating a meal or cleaning a fish tank or smelling a flower can gain magnitude and keep the viewers attached to the screen if the director knows what they’re trying to tell. and while i do want jimmysea to explore and be able to portray different genres, i do think this type of story is where they truly thrive. one of the major complaints i still see about vice versa is that the fantasy aspect of the story is put in the background to favor puen and talay making movies with friend credits instead, but to me that’s actually the strength of the show, because, to quote you, “no one does gentle, comforting, homely like them (jimmysea)”. AND GOD DO I AGREE WITH YOU ON THIS. the mundanity of everyday life is often seen as boring but it’s in that quietness that their chemistry shines, giving us one of the most natural and soft kind of intimacy i’ve ever seen portrayed in television. that’s why i would love to see an intimate scene between mork and day but i also pray that we never going to get it because YEAH I REMEMBER THOSE TAGS I WROTE AND I STAND BY THEM. the kind of intimacy jimmysea can bring to the table paired with the intensity that p’aof can put on screen and the depth of emotions that mork and day feel for each other (the vulnerability the understanding the acknowledgment the recognition the seeing the wanting the care the love)??????? I WOULD STRAIGHT UP DIE

ALSO I WOULD SPEND HOURS TALKING ABOUT HOW MORK FELL FIRST AND HARDER AND IS NOW SO LOST IN THE SAUCE HE’S BASICALLY DROWNING IN IT BUT I WOULD PROBABLY END UP GETTING INVOLUNTARY COMMITTED BY THE END OF IT SO IM JUST GONNA POST THIS

IT'S THE WAY MORK IS SO ATTENTIVE WHEN IT COMES TO DAY AND YEAH HIS LOVE LANGUAGE IN GENERAL IS ACTS OF SERVICE BUT BOY SURE TOOK IT TO A WHOLE OTHER LEVEL. from remembering what day said one time about people reading to him not feeling right and making sure to practice so it would feel more natural, to planting jasmine in his garden to make day feel at home if he ever visited, to finding ways to help day be more independent and places that day can still enjoy through his other senses, mork has already been saying i love you to day in everything he does for him AND I JUST. IM SIMPLY SO NORMAL ABOUT IT. TRULY

Episode 5

Okay, so the fifth episode was redeeming chemistry wise, because finally the snow scene. Ah, that was good.

Well, truer words have never been said. The cheeks do give me cute aggression. 🥺🫠

The flirting was better and believable to an extent in this episode. The playful hug was cute.

Finally, Sea is showing some interest in Jimmy. I hope this development continues. I'm a sucker for unrequited love and pining boys so I pray there's something of that sort here. Please, give me pain. And give me heartbreak and then give me a happy ending. Then, I'll sleep like a baby.

Back to where I was appreciating the absolute visuals though.

The outfits. They all look so gorgeous. Sleek, smart and dashing. The black suit on Jimmy. Ah, to die for. Sea in that orange colour looks fabulous.

Also, Gun my precious baby in Third's role is just so nostalgic. I really missed Khai though. This would've been the perfect cameo for OffGun but oh well. I will enjoy whatever crumbs I'm thrown. Because everyone looks stunning at that movie premiere. Hot damn.

Curious question: isn't Talay a little bit curious about Puen? He isn't making much effort on getting to know his name. It's making me so mad. Idek why lol.

Also, if we aren't getting OhmNanon living in the alternate universe and falling in love, i might have serious issues with GMMTV. JUST SAYING. THIS WOULD BE A CRIME IF THEY DEPRIVE US OF OHMNANON BEING EACH OTHER'S PORTKEY COME ON. IT'S RIGHT THERE. oh. I'm getting too excited now, excuse moi. 🥺

Episode 6

Puen is definitely flirting with Talay and that imagined popped rice and toothpaste scene was okay. Nice product placement I guess?

Talay missing Puen. He's feeling lonely, I can relate.

Ah, how I wish we were shown better mutual pining. . . Speaking of mutual pining, About Youth has some pining but it's very light and well hidden. That show was amazing, if only it had been a little longer and some character development by the parents.

Anyways, back to the episode. Talay admitting to Puen that he missed him, was well done. Because, Talay is not the one openly showing affection towards Puen, therefore seeing him admit that felt good. Also, Jimmy was so cute in this episode, awww.

Sorry to say, but I don't really think that Prakorn's parents are not well off. The house is too glamorous for a middle class, struggling family.

The picture of the four of them show OhmNanon and that brings back the attention of the audience towards the main plot. That is the body swap. I do wish the story could've been interesting, like an actual purpose of JimmySea to be roaming around together in search of the answer to go back to their world and eventually fall in love. This story was not paced well enough for me, seemingly rushed and Sea wasn't showing much emotion before this and I'm glad that is starting to change. As much as I love one sided pining, I want some reciprocation or even playfulness in regard to flirting because otherwise that's no fun, at all. Overall, the episode was okayish.

Episode 7

As I previously mentioned, orange suits Sea. Also, the color scheme of Vice Versa is enviable.

Talay and Puen fighting over the t-shirt is so cuteeee. Also later on, he's trying to figure out which perfume Puen liked ! And the way he missed him, finallyyy he's showing emotions.

I don't think Talay realises how smitten he is with Puen/Tun. The boy asked him for a shower, and he agreed. Whipped™.

Ladies and gentlemen, the unnecessary pining by Talay begins now. Unnecessary because Puen was flirting with him left and right, and he's not seeing it. When that boy finally gives attention to someone else, he's feeling bad?

But yes, Jimmy is actually a cute kitten. That one they got right.

The boy is literally taking the best care of Talay, I need someone pure like that.

The almost kiss scene was cringey af. How many guitar teaching scenes do you think Thai BL needs before it realises that it's been overused? I can think of three series with the guitar teachers right now, without putting much thought into it. Overall, this episode had a decent beginning, cringey middle and an okay, kinda happy end.

Episode 1

It started out pretty well and I liked the acting, the use of colors, the editing and of course the really pretty actors ahhh! I didn't know what to expect and i didn't have high expectations tbh. All in all, the first episode was intriguing.

Side note— All I could think about was that Talay didn't wash his hands before touching Puen and that kind of ruined their first meeting for me :/ it's kinda funny if you really think about it 😂.

Episode 2, 3, 4

One word. Flopped. The story and even the acting could've been so much better. OhmNanon couldn't have saved it even if they tried because I couldn't feel the 'moving' lines and dialogues by the two main leads, and maybe that's just me but I feel Talay was so much better in Episode 1 ?? Like I liked his acting in the first Ep and now it's just droning on and on. Also, no character development for me till now.

Okay, JimmySea are pretty and on screen their chemistry is kind of there but i just couldn't feel it. Also, aren't they still in Tess and Prakorn's bodies? This is just messy. Thai BLs never do the body swap thing right. I mean, Cupid's Last Wish came pretty close to it, but honestly that was acceptable simply because of EarthMix chemistry. Because otherwise, that was still a big no from me for the trope.

Anyways, back to Vice Versa, the kiss in Ep 4 and the setting was great, and there was some spark there but I feel as if it wasn't completely utilised. The story till now isn't making me feel anything at all, not even their 'fight' or 'misunderstanding' thing. I don't know if it's the short run time and the fixed number of episodes that makes it seem so rushed, because some things simply don't make sense. I admit the scenery, the color scheme and the outfits are simply spectacular. But just because something is pretty doesn't mean the plot is any good. At least till now. We'll see if it gets any better.

How can the friends and family simply accept the questions? Like they simply say, don't you remember and answer the questions of Talay. It's like Tess' friends don't even know him much, because if they did, they would at least say something. Ahh, I wanted them to question Talay, and actually see him adjust to this literal different universe. But, no. It didn't feel like he was living in a whole new world.

Admittedly, Ink and Pa (god they're so cute, I want to hug them bothhh) were able to add to the plot in an interesting way but no. This show is simply boring to me right now. I'm suffering through it for the pretty locations, the actors (especially OhmNanon, my beloved🥺). Kind of seeming like a background watch tbh.

Honestly? OhmNanon needed more screentime. There I said it. Their chemistry is palpable.

Monica I'm really scared. It's ep 11 next week. We haven't got Mork crying. (Sam mentioned to me that we haven't even gotten the day bawling scene from the trailer?) This eye donation thing seems a little bit too happy and hopeful for an ep 11.

I know this sounds bad but I really hope day doesn't regain his sight. Because everything the series built up about how blind people also are able to experience this world will all go down the drain. And some part of me knows p'aof will not do that. But then. It's so cruel. To give Day the eyes, the hope of vision just to yank it back so heartlessly. It's so mean. I am scared for next Friday monica.

i feel like i should probably wait to answer you because rn the episode is still too fresh in my mind and i don't have the emotional detachment necessary to be, if not positive, at least not utterly and embarrassingly overdramatic about this but. my mood really flipped a whole 180 degrees because of that ending and ngl. im not doing too well ;;;;;;;

FAIR AMOUNT OF NEGATIVITY UNDER THE CUT I ALREADY APOLOGIZE FOR IT

the thing is. i don't think the surgery next episode is gonna be successful, but i still so deeply dislike this eye donation plotline regardless of how it's gonna end because what's the point of it? if the surgery is successful and day gets his sight back, then it's gonna defeat the entire message of the show. if the surgery fails and day remains blind, then it just feels completely purposeless since he didn't need this to accept his disability and learn that he can still have a fulfilling life: he had already accepted this at songkhla, and it was perfect. honestly the only reason i can think of for them to go down this road is to have the surgery be unsuccessful now, only to end the series with day getting it again after some years and this time working out to show that 'you should never give up hope'. and i can't even begin to explain just how much that wouldn't sit right with me. and i mean i don't have a disability so i obviously don't have any right to say this, but still

not to mention that i actually still feel like those two moments with day and mork crying that we have yet to see are both related to the two of them breaking up because mork doesn't feel like he can take care of day, so they're gonna make him leave until he can prove to day's mom that he can provide for day. which is another thing i would hate

i just don't understand why would they choose all of this when, instead, p'aof could have had mork and day figuring out their future TOGETHER and BOTH trying to prove to day's mom that they can take care of EACH OTHER. like the show made such a point of making day become more independent and empowered but now they're not allowing him to be. i wanna see him walking outside alone with a cane, i wanna see him go back to school and finish his studies, i wanna see him open up his little bookstore while mork works as a cook. it can still happen, i guess, but i still wish it would have been given more focus

im also the kind of dramatic person who can't be like 'at least we have the first 9 episodes, they were perfect and nothing can ruin them'. unfortunately that's not enough for me. unfortunately i need them to stick the landing or it WOULD ruin the entire show for me. and not being able to get back to it and find comfort in morkday would honestly be heartbreaking for me. and you know, obviously the message and the representation of the show is the most important part in this, but also i would be lying if i said i didn't want to have a damn DVD box set of a jimmysea series to actually hold and enjoy since we won't ever have one for vice versa, but what would be the point of buying the last twilight one if i dislike the ending

ANYWAY. im really sorry ismay, i ended up ranting because i needed to vent but im afraid im only making you feel worse with this ;;;;;;; maybe after i sleep on it i will be a bit more optimistic about this but. im really scared too ;;;;;;; for what is worth im holding your hand and im here for you whatever is gonna happen

1) jimmysea are always so serious every time they have to watch the trailer for one of their series, we really never get much of a reaction out of them and for some reason i find that pretty endearing???? like they always put everything they have in what they do so of course they would concentrate on what they're watching so intently that they actually forget to comment or react;

2) WE LOVE MARK PARKIN NR. 1 JIMMYSEA SPOKESPERSON AND HYPE MAN;

3) i guess we could have imagined that morkday wouldn't get to be together so easily but actually hearing p'aof saying it....... MAIMING BITING GNAWING GNASHING KICKING SCREAMING. i love what mark said tho, that "despite all the drama, those two hold on tight to each other's hands and love". it makes me believe that, no matter the pain and the hardships, they will never let go, and that's what matters the most;

1) empty cinema scene: ONE OF THE MOST UNDERRATED SCENES IN THE ENTIRE SHOW IM SO HAPPY YOU MENTIONED IT BECAUSE WE DON’T TALK NEARLY ENOUGH ABOUT IT!!!!! literally the proof that no one can cheer talay up and get him out of his own head like puen does!!!! talay's ridiculously fond smile as puen pretends the cinema is full of people, the way he actually plays along with it after the initial 'what the hell are you doing' reaction.... we always make fun of puen for being down bad BUT GOD TALAY IS SO SMITTEN TOO he sees puen tearing up while watching the movie (THEIR movie) and his first instinct is to gently wipe away those tears LIKE IF THAT DOESN'T MAKE YOU WANT TO BITE YOUR OWN ARM OFF AND FEED IT TO THE WOLVES THEN I ENVY YOU TBH. and the most insane thing is that at the time he didn’t even know he was in love with puen, he hadn’t realized it yet, while puen was already fully aware of his own feelings for talay. puen who, during the voice over, says "it's you. if it wasn't for you, this movie wouldn't have happened. without you, my screenplay wouldn't be this good", which parallels what he tells talay at the end of episode 4, "if it's not you, i wouldn't be able to work this well". and looking back at it, i really feel like it shouldn't have surprised me so much to learn that puen realized he was in love with talay at the glass house, because he was basically shouting it from the rooftops. "which scene is your favorite?" talay asks him. "the last scene where both of them meet again in the coffee shop," puen answers, because "i went there with you". it's you. it can't be anyone but you. i love you, i love you, i love you. IM TRULY NEVER GONNA GET TIRED OF SAYING HOW THEY INVENTED PARALLELISM ROMANTICISM SOULMATISM ALSO NOT THEM BEING SO ENTHRALLED BY EACH OTHER THEY DIDN'T EVEN NOTICE THAT UP AND AOU WERE THERE TOO PEOPLE IN LOVE ARE THE WORST

2) talay’s foggy glasses kiss: NO THOUGHTS HEAD EMPTY AND EVEN IF I HAD ANY I WOULD KEEP THEM BETWEEN ME AND GOD BECAUSE THEY SURE AS HELL WOULDN'T BE FOR PUBLIC CONSUMPTION. like i make fun of puen for being horny all the time but also i get it. if talay confessed to have been in love with me since the very first time we met by using a very similar line i liked from a movie we watched together years ago all while looking so warm and cuddly in an oversized sweater, i would feel compelled to kiss him senseless too. also not to be petty, but as much as people like to say jimmysea can't kiss, this is the only time i can fully believe a make out session left a character breathless, with weak knees, and a little turned on like THE FOGGY GLASSES, TALAY'S LIPS ALL RED FROM KISSING, HIS HAIR MESSED UP FROM PUEN'S HANDS RUNNING THROUGH IT, HIS EYES COMPLETELY GLAZED OVER...... REARRANGED MY GUTS MY SOUL MY ENTIRE LIFE AND EVERYTHING I EVER THOUGHT I KNEW THE SPECTRE OF THE PERSON I WAS WHEN I FIRST SAW THIS KISS HAUNTS MY EVERY WAKING MOMENT THEY REALLY DID THE MOST

3.a) grafitti library scene: PAIN SUFFERING TORMENT AGONY ANGUISH BUT ALSO THE TENSION THE UNDERCURRENT THE WHOLE ENTIRE EVERYTHING OF IT ALL I HATE TO SEE THEM FIGHT BUT GOD I LOVE THIS SCENE I REALLY DO. i just think it's such an important moment, character-wise, and it's also the first big turning point in their relationship, just like the separation in episode 6 is, because the conflict is actually functional to their growth, especially puen's. puen is already so deeply in love here, but it's so painfully obvious that he has no idea how to go about it and that he is still struggling to find himself, so he defaults to what he knows, to being puen the actor, and that's what he ends up putting on, an act, a big over the top romantic one that could have come out from a movie, but even if the feelings behind it are genuine, the gesture itself isn't, and talay KNOWS, because puen is the kind of person that quietly waits outside his university all day just to spend a little more time with him, not the one that makes a spectacle out of it. this is what makes talay finally snap, because while we see him being very confused about his feelings throughout the episode, and very doubtful about puen's too, you can see that part of him did believe in puen's sincerity ("lately, someone has done something nice to me," talay says to dol a little later in the episode, "so nice that i thought he was serious"), which is why it hurts so much to see talay's crestfallen expression when he asks puen "so all you've done is for your screenwriting?" (and since we're talking about it SEA'S ACTING HERE IS SO GOOD AND YET SO UNDERRATED IM EATING MY FIST) and puen doesn't realize how upset talay really is until it's too late, until he tries to explain and maybe even confess something ("im not messing with you. i--") but talay doesn't want to listen anymore. however this rejection is essential to make puen understand that he has to stop hiding under puen the actor and start being puen the person if he wants to be with talay. this is a long process that will only end in episode 10, when he'll finally be ready to tell talay his name, but this was the first step towards it: as misguided as the kiss in the glass house is, it's also the moment where puen stops playing a role and starts following his feelings. i honestly don't think it's a coincidence that in this episode the password used for the association is "you're not a movie. you are real."

3.b) ‘Do you want me to live with you or do you want something 18+’ unhinged daydream: PEAK DERANGED PUEN MOMENT HE REALLY SAID LET ME ADMIT OUT LOUD ALL THE ROMANTIC DOMESTIC HALF HORNY FANTASIES I'VE EVER HAD ABOUT YOU. IM PRETTY SURE THAT IF TALAY DIDN'T STOP HIM HE REALLY WOULD HAVE GONE INTO FULL 18+ NSFW XXX TERRITORY THERE IS JUST NOT A SINGLE OUNCE OF SHAME IN THIS BOY'S BODY AND YET TALAY STILL THINKS HE’S DOING IT FOR THE BIT. INSANITY LUNACY MADNESS AND PEOPLE WONDER WHY HAVE I GONE CRAZY. on a more serious note, i already said it before, but i absolutely love how the talay in puen's daydreams is just like the real talay, so much so that we could hardly tell that what we were seeing wasn't actually what was happening, because it shows that puen loves him as he is, warts and all, and that in puen's head their relationship turning into a romantic one wouldn't change who they are or how they interact with each other: they would still bicker and banter and be friends, and that's one of the things i love the most about them. ALSO ALL THE DETAILS IN PUEN'S FANTASY ACTUALLY BECOMING TRUE MAKES ME WANT TO RIP MY HEART OUT AND EAT IT BUT LET'S NOT GO THERE

4) wedding scene: I HAVE MULTIPLE ORGANS FAILURE EVERY TIME I REWATCH THIS SCENE POSSIBLY BECAUSE THEIR OUTFITS HERE ARE MY FAVORITE FOR BOTH OF THEM IN THE ENTIRE SHOW BUT MAINLY BECAUSE PUEN IS REALLY OUT THERE JUST SAYING SHIT LIKE "I SHOULD JUST MARRY A COLORIST" IN EPISODE 4!!!!!! BOY HAS JUST REALIZED HE'S IN LOVE LIKE 2 DAYS AGO AND IS ALREADY PLANNING THEIR WEDDING IN HIS HEAD!!!!!! also i adore how the writers use this specific setting to let us know the characters' current attitude towards love: puen talking about getting married and having a partner vs talay being focused on working on the video, puen catching the bouquet with no fear vs talay shielding himself from it.... THIS IS WHY I DESPERATELY NEED THE PUENTALAY WEDDING IN OUR SKYY I /NEED/ P'X TO GIVE ME THIS PARALLEL IT WOULD SIMPLY BE SO DELICIOUS. and not to be that person but fucking raw in that venue right then and there would have been less obscene than the looks they be throwing at each other while puen tells the entire room he is hitting on talay and then gives him the bouquet. jimmysea really be showing up on set every day like we're gonna display so much adoration desire yearning and love through the look in our eyes alone AND I LOVE THEM SO MUCH FOR IT

5) puen reading shojo manga: OF COURSE PUEN WOULD LOVE SHOUJO WHEN HE IS SO INTO LOVE AND ROMANCE IT MAKES PERFECT SENSE AND IT'S HONESTLY SO ADORABLE I HOPE TALAY BUYS HIM AN ENTIRE LIBRARY FOR HIM TO FILL WITH ALL HIS FAVORITE MANGA. and i think it's interesting to point out that shoujo, much like the color pink, is something that has been forcefully connected to a whole set of 'feminine' characteristics that society tells men are off-limits for them: men don't need to be caring and sweet and romantic and cute.... but puen is very much all of these things, and maybe his reticence in admitting he likes shoujo is yet another way he hides his real self away because he's scared not to be liked, which makes talay's genuine interest all the more important. also we tend to associate shoujo with romance, but the three more common narrative themes in the genre are a focus on human relations and emotions, characters that defy traditional roles and stereotypes surrounding gender and sexuality, and depictions of supernatural and paranormal subjects. IDK ABOUT YOU BUT THAT SOUNDS VERY FAMILIAR TO ME

6) why they should stop eating so much junk food: THIS MAKES ME LAUGH SO MUCH EVERY TIME I READ IT BUT ALSO I REALLY DO HOPE THEY’RE SNEAKING SOME VEGETABLES IN BETWEEN ALL THE CHIPS AND FRIED CHICKEN AND PREMADE NOODLES AND DIFFERENT KIND OF SWEETS OR THEY’RE GONNA GET A HEART ATTACK BEFORE THE AGE OF 40 (thank god for the 0% sugar oishi drink at least sfjkshfkgs). also not me suddenly getting choked up at the thought of the two of them getting to 50 years old and finding out that talay’s pressure tends to get too high so puen studies a proper diet for it and makes sure talay follows it scrupulously NOT ME THINKING ABOUT OLD PUENTALAY GROWING VEGETABLES IN THEIR GARDEN AND REMINDING EACH OTHER TO TAKE THEIR MEDS EXCUSE ME FOR A SECOND I NEED TO GO WALK INTO TRAFFIC REAL QUICK YEAH NO BRB

7) snow scene: there are honestly many things i could talk about in this scene ("when you see snow again next time you will think of me", puen and talay having to play the characters, puen kissing talay's cheek, talay saying he doesn't like to be hugged, the freaking shaved ice made with snow and the oishi drink) BUT THE ONLY THING I CAN THINK ABOUT IS "YOU MUST ONLY BE HAPPY TALAY" LIKE IM SORRY BUT ISABELLE ADJANI GOING TITS OUT INSANE IN THE TUNNEL SCENE FROM POSSESSION HAS NOTHING ON WHAT I FEEL ABOUT THIS LINE IT'S IN MY TOP 10 MOST ROMANTIC PUEN'S LINES AND IT DRIVES ME CRAZY IN WAYS I CAN'T REALLY EXPLAIN AND I WISH I COULD SAY ANYTHING COHERENT ABOUT IT BUT RN THERE ARE JUST AMBULANCE SIRENS GOING OFF IN MY HEAD

SFJKSGFJSGDKGS I DID NOT AND IM MORE THAN HAPPY TO FIX THIS TERRIBLE SHORTCOMING ON MY PART. i do think two of their most unhinged moments are the bucket hat scene in episode 1 and the entire shirt scene in episode 7, but since i already used them for talay's list, i tried to pick other moments where puen's and talay's insanity matched!!!

1. the date-not-date culminating in the nivea bathtub scene my beloved in episode 3. two men have to write a script for a romantic movie. they have no experience when it comes to love so they decide to follow a man and a woman to establish if they are a couple or not. in doing so, they end up doing all the typical activities people do on a date: going to a cafe, watching a movie, eating together and feeding each other.... the night ends with the two men going home together. one of them goes to take a bath. after a while the other follows and climb into the bathtub with him. the words "if this can be used to wipe away dust, i should use it with your heart" are uttered. the next day they go on like nothing happened, fully convinced they are just friends. im losing braincells just typing this out. they are insane and i want to throw myself in front of a moving train.

2. the lay's marriage proposal in episode 12. puen proposed with a bouquet of lotus in one hand and a bag of lay's in the other. talay still said yes. i don't even know what else to add they're just lucky they suffer from the same brand of derangement tbh (one might argue that it was just a product placement so it doesn't count. FOOL. their proposal was always going to involve food in some way, shape or form: we got a potato chip, could have easily been a shrimp)

3. the nom nom scene in episode 10. we focus so much on jimmysea improvising it that i think we don't talk enough about the intrinsic unhinged quality of this scene. after episodes upon episodes of puen saying that talay smells good and that he would eat cake right from talay's face, the mad man does exactly as he promised. the other mad man goes along with it and does it right back. couples who've been married for years are gagging in the background because WHO EVEN DOES THAT (unless you're into it, which it's perfectly fine, we're very accepting in this house. but this also brings me to the next point...) JUST GET A ROOM JESUS CHRIST.

4. the "morning after" in episode 2. talay and puen meet. talay gets drunk and kisses puen twice. talay then passes out, so puen brings him home, strips him and puts him in bed. he then decides that the best course of action is to take his shirt off (but not his shoes) and also get into the same bed. talay wakes up the next day to find puen asleep next to him and after a moment of (mild) surprise he checks that puen still has his pants on. they didn't sleep together, and yet they're able to make at least three different kind of sexual innuendos in the time it takes them to have breakfast. they've known each other for less than 24 hours.

5. the mirroring in episode 8. admittedly not as unhinged as the other moments and it's mostly just a cute and funny scene, however this is the proof (along with counting the minutes and seconds in which they're apart) that they do indeed share one single deranged braincell. and i do love that they can be silly together but they really started to do that out of nowhere and almost had their first kiss like that. thank god this is a PG-13 show or idk where else this could have gone.
